Question: My family is flying in to El Paso and we need to know how far Ruidoso is from El Paso. We've never been to either place.

Answer: Well not to put our Texas friends to the South down at all, but I'm thinkin' you're going to like Ruidoso a whole heck of a lot better! Sounds like you're just passin' through down there anyway. To answer your question .. sorry it takes me so long to get around to things ... you'll have 135 miles to travel and I'd budget about 2 1/2 hours with your seats in the buckets as I'm guessin' you' and the gang might be doin' a little rubber-neckin' on the way up here. Hope you enjoy your first visit and let ol' Ruidoso Rob know if somebody doesn't treat you just right when you're here ... I'll be happy to set 'em straight for you! Question: Lubbock to Ruidoso ... what we talking about in distance and time. Thank you.

Answer: I've never been to Lubbock. Can't leave the State you know ... but that's a story for another time. I've know a few thousand folks who have been back and forth though ... and as I recall it takes about 3 1/2 hours for the folks with high insurance rates and closer to 4 1/2 if you're driving and old pick up like. Question: My husband and I will be in Albuquerque for business next month and I've heard that Ruidoso is a nice place to visit in New Mexico. My co-workers in the Albuquerque office tell me its about a 4 1/2 hour drive to Ruidoso but it doesn't look that far on the map ... what do you think?

Answer: Well firstly, whoever told you Ruidoso was a nice place to visit was absotively right. You can trust them. Now for the folks in Albuquerque ... I'm thinkin' they told you 4 1/2 hours in the buckboard just 'cuz they're jealous and they prob'ly don't want you headin' south to paradise ... Northerners! Well, I'm done rantin' ... you and hubby a re looking at 185 miles in your chariot and plan on about 2 hours and 45 minutes without pushin' it to hard.
