Question: You have an airport right? Then which airlines fly into Ruidoso? I can't find anything about this on the net.

Answer: Yes we have an airport ... it's called Sierra Blanca Regional Airport. It's located just about 12 minutes north of town past Alto, New Mexico. Big enough to land jets ... although none are currently scheduled here. This should all change next year as a local organization called Fly Ruidoso is arranging to make regularly scheduled air service to Ruidoso happen in May of 2007. The Inn of the Mountain Gods is also to begin a twice-a-week Air Charter service from both Dallas and Houston in the Fall of 2006. It appears in the future it will be easier to get here ... but for the immediate present you need to have your own propeller.

Question: I'm a pilot with an old restored Cessna 172 and would like info on the airport there in Ruidoso ... fees, fuel costs, location and other info to make my flight and trip there run a little smoother.

Answer: Sounds like a nice set of wings you have there Burt! Look me up when you get to town and lets go flying! Anyway you can find all the facts and figures you'll need at the Village of Ruidoso web site where you can hit their airport link.
